pictures

I'm afraid there aren't many pictures, as my camera battery started dying as soon as we arrived. And also because my boyfriend and I ended up having a huge fight while we were out there.

Nothing too paranormal so far, but I was only there for about an hour today.
I apologize for the bad quality of the pictures, I had to avoid using the flash because it was draining my camera like crazy.

The house. (the tarp on top of it was laboriously put there by my boyfriend and I. It leaks. I should be buying roofing supplies soon).
The broken mirror on the front steps.
Stairs going up. The upstairs is barricaded off for some reason.
The dusty windows inside the house. There is a whole wall of windows in there.
a skull on a cage? This was set right out front of the cabin.
The house. (In the upper right hand corner)
A strange mask hidden in a corner of the garden. (which is hardly the garden that I remember anymore. Its all moss. No flowers).
A drawing of a girl that I found inside the house. Not very paranormal, but still interesting.

This picture is terrible, but if you look closely, you'll see a raven. It followed me the entire time I was out there, hopping from branch to branch, making its little noises, click clock click. It never stopped watching me, I saw it on a branch above the car when we were leaving.
A dogs head statue, how welcoming!

The house itself. Its REALLY run-down. What have I gotten myself into?

There are clocks everywhere. I'll take pictures of the others when I go out there again. (The profile picture of this blog is another one of them)

I didn't have time to explore deeper into the forest, but I hope once I move out there I'll have all the time in the world.

Backstory.

I had an aunt who lived in the wild wild forests of northern california.
She spoke of strange people coming out of the woods to visit with her.
They always asked to be invited in, but she never let them, instead she would give them tea in the garden. She said they always vanished after she went to bring the dirty dishes inside.
There were also stories of lights in the woods, voices and people standing at the edge of the treeline.

Raven feathers were a reoccurring theme as she mentioned that most of the people wore them.

Aside from the stories my aunt was pretty down to earth, so I'm somewhat inclined to believe her.
My mother and the woman who owned the land before my aunt also spoke of hearing and seeing strange things as well.

My aunt died and left me the cabin as inheritance, (probably because I was weird enough to be fascinated with the place and the stories). and shortly after that I was evicted.(Old cool landlord sold to new lame landlord). So I decided to take that as a sign and move out to the forest.

I'll be spending my first night there on april 5th. And I'm going to use this blog to document anything that might happen out there. (if anything does)
Eventually there should be pictures of the place!
